The European Project C-Wake regroups physicians and engineers attempting to better understand and master the phenomena of wake turbulence.

In Marseilles, France, physicians at the IRPHE study the manner in which counter-rotating turbulence fusions. At Rome, Italy, in the INSEAN water tanks where boat hulls are usually being tested an Airbus team, lead by the german Klaus Huenecke study the consequences of the wing design on the wake turbulence by studying a model of an Airbus A340 as it moves through the water. In Lille, France, the ONERA perform similar tests, but in the air this time, using a model of an Airbus A380.
